Who we are
Prison💯 is operated by Jesse Perez ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect through this site, why, and what rights you have over it. Questions about this policy can be sent to perezwebservices@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email and any profile details you add.
When you make a purchase or book a consultation, payment is processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of the order itself: what you bought, the amount, and your shipping address if applicable.
If you create or apply for a pen pal profile, we collect what you submit — your name, bio, contact/mailing details, and any photos you upload. This is more sensitive information than typical account data, and we treat it accordingly: it's shown publicly only after staff review and only in the form you chose to submit it.
If you're an approved artist, we store the bio, images, audio, and video links you upload to your profile.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account
- To process and fulfill orders and bookings
- To display pen pal and artist profiles you've chosen to publish
- To respond to support requests sent to our contact email
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Affiliates
If you apply to the affiliate program, we collect your display name, pen pal page URL, platform, self-reported follower count, and referral code.
If you connect a social media account, we store which platform it is, a handle/display name for it, and an account identifier from our posting provider, PostPeer — we never see or store your social media password; that authorization happens directly through the platform's own login screen.
If you're eligible for payouts, we store a Stripe Connect account ID and your payout-eligibility status — Stripe holds your actual banking details, not us.
We use this information to run the affiliate program: publishing approved posts to your connected accounts, tracking referrals, and calculating and paying commissions.
Disconnecting a social account from your dashboard removes it from future posting; we don't automatically delete already-published posts, since those live on your account and are yours to manage.
Who we share it with
We use outside services to run this site: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (our database and file storage host), and PostPeer (social account connections and posting for affiliates). Each only receives what's necessary to perform its function and is contractually restricted from using your data for its own purposes.
Your rights
You can update your profile information or delete your account entirely at any time from your Account page. Deleting your account removes your login and personal profile data; order records are kept for our accounting obligations but disconnected from your identity.
If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you or request its deletion outside the normal account flow. Contact us at the email above to exercise these rights.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
